Default Incubus

Hello, today I did Frostmaws HM and we finally completed it, but Incubus kept sweeping our team. On our team we brought a perma tank, RoJ, AoE ele, Splinter Barrage, Spirit Spammer, regular assassin, and 2 healing monks. Does anyone have any tips concerning the Incubus?

Pulling doesn't seem to work on them as the whole group goes but since they are fast and deals tons of damage, whats the easiest way to kill them in Hard Mode?

Thx.

Just go with a perma+roj/foc+UA heal(assuming cry doesn't work now, haven't tried it yet)....you don't need the rest just watch out for their Soulrending Shriek....it will daze the perma for 8 secs or longer. So make sure he gets all the skrieks and then just spike away. Condition removal is not crucial if the perma casts SF right before entering the incubus area(you can usually guess it right). But if he does need to recast sf while dazed, just make sure he does it a little bit earlier than normal, since SF is now a 2sec cast instead of 1. It shouldn't be too hard......just watch out for the 40 damage from each of the Soulrending Shrieks, make sure he has iau up when recasting SF and followed by a dark escape and you should be fine. A good aggro is also important.

Just make sure that your tank has as many enchantments as you can put on him. Otherwise SF is going to get ripped.
Dazed doesn't really matter, because GoS isn't affected by it. Mindbender can help with this if there really is a problem. But otherwise, just have the tank cast SF as soon as possible.

First of all, don't use a perma unless he's running whole floors.

Best way? Kill them fast. I completed it today with 6 paragons and 2 rangers. No real tank, just mayhem.

Bats are not easily dealt with by a perma.

Ranger makes the best bat tank. When i do frost, i typically have a perma tank and a barrage ranger that specs a bit into wilderness, takes dwarven stability and dryder's defenses. With the natural ele resist they have + dryders, bat tanking is relatively easy for that ranger.

Some options:

1. Go in with minions. Incubi cast Air Magic. They cannot take out minion swarms quickly and the minions will absorb a lot of their damage.
2. Spam summons. In line with #1, the more summons you have the better. Use the Vanguard Assassin, Asuran summons, etc.
3. Resilient Weapon is a great substitute for Prot Spirit against them. It can't be removed, and it's +24 armor if you get Dazed (so enchant yourself before pulling). "I Am Unstoppable!" is even better, but it does take up a PvE slot on your bar vs. Resilient Weapon, which you can put on a hero. You can also try "Stand Your Ground!", which I've not tried.
4. High armor classes, eg. Warriors and Rangers, can tank Incubi pretty easily.

The dungeon is doable with standard Discordway by the way, although it might take some flagging.

When we do HM FB with 3 we have a ranger who kites the incubi with incendary arrows/apply poison/i am unstoppable. They go down rather quickly.

To sum this whole thing up:

Perma is pretty useless against them. Soulrending Shriek is a skill, meaning it goes through Shadow Form and Rends it.. daze or not, he's dead meat.

The Incubi are nasty things. As a matter of fact, devs have been packing them into teams of about 10 per spawn.
Stacking enchants is idiocy therefore. On HM, they rend them all in less than a seconds. GG for Energy waste.
Above said, preprotting doesnt work.

Moreover, after getting stripped of all enchs, you get get spiked by AT LEAST 5 (at once that is) 2*100+ dmg Mindshocks (on an AL of 60).
If that doesnt kill, accounting for the kd btw, it gets followed by them swarming over you/your team, executing a chain of xxx dmg shocks and whirlwinds. So basically, if your tank goes down, their swarming over your team usually means wipe.

Things i found to be useful:
Infuse health on a human monk... that is, if you got another human one. Heroes/Microing is too slow.
Dark escape - Halves dmg, found it to be the most useful one. When you survive the inital spike, your team shld have enough time to take at least one of em out.
Resilent Weapon/Weapon of Warding - Weapon spells can't be stripped.... you're fine with them then.

Long story short: Bring some DP removals, and try to take out as many of em as possible in one attempt. Rinse and repeat until all dead.
